Valankali is actually ten minutes from Borivali, in the neighbouring suburb of Dahisar. It is a nameless blue cart just outside the Honda Showroom on J.S. Road. The owner is a smiling woman, popularly known as ‘Aunty’, who likes the stall to be called Valankali . Aunty serves fresh and hot bread cutlets, dal vadas, vada pavs, and moong dal bhajiyas and also takes great care to maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the cart.

Pooja Malai Gola

The Malai Gola at Pooja Malai Gola on Chandavarkar Road is the stuff of dreams. Approximately the size of a palm, this malai gola is dressed in layers of multiple flavours along with breadcrumbs and dry fruits. Perfect summer dessert!

Right opposite Gokul Hotel on Rokadia Lane, there is a tiny food cart with prices written in chalk. Harbole Dabeli has fed more than a generation yet the taste remains the same spicy and sweet one.

Another popular food cart on Chandavarkar Road, Dashrath Sandwiches offers an exciting range of sandwiches. The cart is easy to spot as it is on the crossroads, and is always teeming with customers. Cheese grills to paneer grills, they serve it all.

  1. Nandu’s near mk college makes varieties of dosas and Raju sandwich wala at chamunda circle just outside UTI office building he services tasty sandwiches and Frankie’s with love, do visit


  2. Bunty deserves the place in top 10….apart from that Nandu is also missed and the “Shreeji Bhel” at chandavarkar near Triveni Panwala serves the best Sevpuri Panini, Ice Bhel and various Desi Italian Items is a superb place for food lovers…..give it go once.

His coconut chutney is best ever no one can beat the taste of his chutney and Tosted sandwich…Do visit once…best place for sandwich lovers…(owner Raju Uncle)😆

  10. Bachhu cutlet is one of the greatest cutlet provider in borivali, located opp. To veg treat 1 hotel, kastur park.. I can bet it would be very much hard to find such cutlet at such affordable price anywhere else.. Try atleast once ✌

  12. I think this rating is specifically to Borivali West…People who wanna try best food in Borivali East, please go for Pallinath, where they serve delicious Misal Pav and Wada Usal.


  13. Try Kebab Land as well. The only non vegetarian outlet on S.V.Road, between kandivali to Dahisar. Right opposite to railway station on S.V.Road, inside Jaya Talkies Compound.


    1. Surprised that the sandwhich outside indraprasth shopping centre , the one right outside abhushan jewellery is missing on the list! It’s lip smacking tasty! Try the masala cheese toast! Also the masala papad outside the shopping centre is equally good!
